What format should I choose?

Use CSV to work with the numbers in Excel or Google Sheets, PDF when you need a report to print or send, and JSON when you want to load the results into another program or script.

Does export save files to my account?

No. Exporting downloads the file directly to your device — we do not keep a copy in the cloud.

Can I import data back in?

Custom variables can be imported from a CSV file, using the Import button in the variables panel with a free account. History cannot be imported; Settings → Plan & Data restores a full backup instead.

Do all calculators support every export format?

Yes. Every calculator offers JSON, CSV and PDF. Basic, RPN and Scientific export their tape or session as a table of entries rather than a single result, but through the same three formats and with the same branding.
