Understanding AI ROI

Where the ROI number comes from

ROI here compares two things: what the AI tool costs per year, and the dollar value of the time it saves per year (hours saved per week × 52 × hourly rate × number of employees). A positive ROI means the value of time saved exceeds the cost; a negative one means the tool costs more than the time it currently saves.

Why payback period matters as much as ROI

A tool can have a great annual ROI but still feel expensive up front if it takes months to break even. Payback period answers "how soon until this pays for itself" — useful for comparing two tools with similar ROI but very different upfront commitment.

Simple mode vs. Team mode
