How does the age calculator work?

Enter your date of birth and the calculator returns your exact age in years, months, weeks, and days — plus your total age in hours and minutes, the day of the week you were born, and your next birthday countdown.

Can I calculate age for a future date?

Yes. Switch to Date Check mode and set "Calculate Age As Of" to any future date to see how old you will be at that point. This is useful for calculating retirement age, legal milestones, or future anniversaries.

How is age calculated across different calendar systems?

This calculator uses the Gregorian calendar by default. Age is computed by counting full years, then full months, then remaining days since the last birthday. Leap years are handled automatically — a person born on Feb 29 has their birthday counted on Feb 28 in non-leap years.
